Each year, Reel Asian celebrates Asian talent with awards for features and short films. Following the festival’s bold and vibrant vision with a focus on the collective power of community for its 26th season, the design unites multiple typographic “characters” to create a distinct identity for the festival’s awards show. Motion design brings it to life for the show’s opening sequence, transitions, lower thirds, title cards, and credits.

The book features illustrations from Reel Asian’s annually selected festival artist, Brian (Bree) Jiang. Drawing from their work, the book features water ripples, fish, and dragon scales that dance across the books pages amongst all the filmmakers, artists, and events that make the festival.
